White Knight *Blog Tour*
a Re-telling of King Arthur and The Knights of the Round table..with a dash of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Interesting concept, an intriguing plot and a few twists. Though honestly what I feel was suppose to be the biggest surprise was the most predictable.
Sasha (AKA Snow White) is a master gem cutter, out to steal the immortality stone from the knights of the round table..who happen to have been cursed into dwarfs. Derek, former military, owner of his own security firm hired to stop a thief… they met first in a pub and then realize they will be working together, a situation Sasha is not all that happy with, until she realizes, she will have access to all the security measures making that much easier to circumvent. But someone else wants the stone too, someone who will stop at nothing to get it. They will all have to come together, they will all have to tell their stories.. they will not all be believed.
Things I liked:
*King Arthur retelling
*magic, visions and immortality
*the pace of the story
*the plot, gem cutter turned gem thief, an evil witch out to stop them all.
*the ending, or lead into the second book
Things I didn’t like:
*In the beginning it seemed like it spiraled around too much and I kept wanting to just put it down
*sometimes it seemed there was interruption in the flow or style possibly because it was written by two authors
*the characters, seemed flat and were not well developed
Overall, it was an interesting concept, it wasn’t bad. This just seems to be one of those books, for me that just doesn’t quite do it. I feel rather indifferent to it. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. Something was missing for me and I’m not quite sure what it was.
Meet the Authors:
Award-winning paranormal romance author, Abigail Owen, grew up consuming books and exploring the world through her writing. She attempted to find a practical career related to her favorite pastime by earning a degree in English Rhetoric (Technical Writing). However, she swiftly discovered that writing without imagination is not nearly as fun as writing with it.No matter the genre, she loves to write witty, feisty heroines, sexy heroes who deserve them, and a cast of lovable characters to surround them (and maybe get their own stories). She currently resides in Austin, Texas, with her own personal hero, her husband, and their two children, who are growing up way too fast.
Abigail also writes award-winning contemporary romance as Kadie Scott.
